Chest MRI scan

OMG that was the longest waiting period ever!

MRI scan time at Glenfield Hospital. Injected some sort of dye into my veins, put my Robbie Williams Swing when you're winning CD on through the headphones and in I went. Face down on bed, boobs in a box. 45 minutes and I couldn't move, had a little stretch between each scan. The nurse would check I was OK then say this one is however many minutes.

Another waiting game for results, these were the worst times.

Biopsy results!

Went back to Glenfield for my biopsy results. I was told I had Grade 2 mixed invasive (lobular and ductal) ER positive node negative Cancer. The lump was 25mm in size.

My consultant recommended breast conserving surgery and liposuction to refill my breast. Followed by radiotherapy.

Because the lump showed slightly different sizes on my ultrasound and mammogram and my young(-ish lol) breast tissue is dense, I was told I now needed an MRI scan.

This was a longer wait, waiting is hell and plays havoc with your mind.

5 hours later - I have cancer!!!

Went to Glenfield Hospital Leicester for my mammogram, ended up having a few of them along with ultrasound and biopsies. At the start of day the consultant examined me and said it was just breast tissue, just like my GP. Five hours later and extensive tests I was told he was extremely sorry and in total shock himself but I most probably have breast cancer. Devastated wasn't the word. Now to wait for the results for confirmation.
