Pelvic MRI scan

Hello everyone!

Well since my last blog I've finally had my MRI scan and I've got me a chicken fillet, so I look good in anything now haha! Let the bikini shopping commence :-) and no sarcastic comments please ;-) Still waiting for a pain clinic appointment though, think I'll chase that up tomorrow!

Had my MRI today of the pelvic area, as my Gynaecologist wants to see exactly what makes up the mass on my womb and ovaries, about a week for the results. Fingers crossed I just need an Oophorectomy, then I can get that out the way.

I've had my 2nd appointment for Scar Work Therapy, it's a really amazing treatment. My right scar is more skin toned than red now and the creases are so smooth. By the time I have my 3d nipple tattoos you probably won't see my scars at all! Also had Physiotherapy for my coccyx which I don't rate much, but not really sure if it's that or the medication that is helping as it is improving.

You'll be pleased to know as well as work I'm now managing to go out a bit more! The fatigue is improving slowly thankfully. So I've seen a few friends, done a bit of baking, walked the dogs and finally met a pink sister Samantha, whom I've spoke to via text all last year who doesn't have internet access like me. Just need to meet up with Sharon and all my online pink sisters at some point and have a good drink and catch up.

I've also been to a Breast Cancer support group, which is next door to work so very handy. It was lovely to meet other ladies locally, they meet once a month for an hour which is nice. It is such good therapy talking to those that have been there themselves.

I also went to the Good and New Clothes Sale hosted by 'For Rutland in Rutland', who support cancer and dementia, and hoping to get a bit more involved with them, in the hope I can help others who end up in my situation, as there isn't much in Rutland for cancer support.

Anyway I've waffled enough and I'm off out to see a film 'The Lady in a van' in the local pub. Have a good week one and all. xx

The hair is growing, but thinking of getting the sides
shaved again. I want it longer on top.

Thank you to all my amazing friends for all your support over the last year xxxx

  1. I hope your results turn out well and that all you need is an Oophorectomy! And I am really glad to hear the fatigue is wearing down and that you are now able to do some little activities, I bet especially that the dogs enjoy their walks again! I hope that your Breast Cancer support group continues to go well!

    1. Thank you, I did only need an Oophorectomy luckily, so this has been the easiest stage of my journey. Although I did have cysts on my ovaries one being a Brenner tumour.
