Another surgery!

Can you believe it, I had to drive myself to A&E 10 days ago, in agony and scared. My remaining implant had doubled in size. I ended up being admitted to hospital and put on IV antibiotics. 3 days later I went into surgery, they removed 1 pint of puss /infection and my implant.

I've been home 4 days now. Pain is improving slowly. Can't lift or drive for 2 weeks, so already fed up. Fed up of being stuck indoors, think I've had my fair share of that!

Due to the snow I removed my drain myself 🙊 I looked on you tube how to do it, I had surgical wipes and it was causing me pain, so I thought sod it and it was no longer needed. I've had enough of them in the last 3 years, and always watched them being removed and it's easy enough. It made me feel a bit queasy for 5 minutes, but the relief after was so worth it.

My head is in a bad place at the moment, I feel like I'm mourning my boobs for the first time in 3 years now I'm fully flat, but will see how I feel once I'm recovered from this surgery. Once again I have a lot of thinking to do, do I carry on with reconstruction or give in and stay flat. Either way I have at least one more surgery, to either neaten up my skin flaps if staying flat or the TRAM/DIEP flap surgery if I decide to use my tummy for new boobs.

Hope you've all enjoyed the snow, I had some lovely views from my hospital window and amazing snow drifts blocking most roads in the village.

Thank you Jen for visiting me and my gifts, thank you Angie, Frank & Tim for everything you've done for me, visits, transport etc. Thank you Mom and Barry for your visit and my flowers.

Have a good week all and thank you for still following my journey . xx
